Review of The Lost Symbol

The Book

Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol was released on 15 September 2009 and sold over one million copies within 24 hours of its release.

It is the 3rd novel to feature the Symbology lecturer Robert Langdon, is set in Washington D.C. and takes place over a 12 hour period.

The Lost Symbol shares a great deal of themes with The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons - secret societies, an extreme psychopathic murderer, cutting edge science institutions and a race against  time to unravel codes and riddles and solve mysteries hidden in the architecture and paintings of the city.

While all the main codes and riddles within the book are explained, I'm sure that there are plenty of codes within codes and hidden meanings behind character's names and other passages of text within the book, which books like 'Decoding the Lost Symbol' by Simon Cox which shortly reveal.

Characters in The Lost Symbol
